Renuka Shiranthi Jayasekara, a veteran astrologer from Uva province, the South Eastern part of Sri Lanka, started her studies on astrology more than 30 years ago in 1978 under the guidance of famous and late astrologer A.W.H. Bandara who was a descendent of a well-known astrologer family. In 1987 she established Deepanee Astrology Institute and to date she has offered a very promising service to thousands of people from all parts of the island for 22 years.
The great astrologer A.M.W.M Appuhami, father of A.W.H. Bandara, mentions in his ola manuscript Seruwawila Sandeshaya, that the roots of this great astrologer dynasty dates back more than 1850.
In addition, she is an active member of Subasetha Astrology Council of Lake House as the organizer for the Moneragala District. She holds an island wide reputation in the field of her specialty as a composer of impressive articles on astrological research for local astrological magazines such as Subasetha.
